Mohammad Sarabian: Unlocking the Potential of AI-Driven CFD

A strong educational foundation has been the bedrock of my success as a pioneering Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) scientist and Artificial Intelligence (AI) expert. Throughout my academic journey, I have had the privilege of learning from esteemed institutions and renowned mentors who have shaped my intellectual curiosity and honed my technical skills.

During my doctoral studies at Ohio University, I embarked on a transformative journey that laid the foundation for my expertise in CFD and complex fluid dynamics. Under the guidance of my esteemed advisors, I delved into the intricacies of experimental investigations and direct numerical simulations, focusing on the behavior of rigid particles in shear flows of Newtonian and complex fluids. This immersive experience equipped me with advanced skills in optical experiments, image processing, direct numerical simulations, and parallelization techniques, setting the stage for my future contributions to the field.

My master’s degree from Shiraz University marked a pivotal moment in my academic journey, as I honed my research skills and deepened my understanding of combustion mechanisms. Through my thesis work, I explored innovative methods for reducing detailed combustion mechanisms of light hydrocarbons and hydrogen, showcasing my ability to tackle complex problems with creativity and rigor.

My undergraduate studies at Shiraz University provided a solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles and ignited my passion for computational methods. Through my senior project, I gained hands-on experience with ANSYS/CFX, conducting numerical studies on the performance of a transonic compressor rotor. This early exposure to CFD laid the groundwork for my future specialization in the field.

To complement my formal education, I have actively pursued additional certifications and training to stay at the forefront of emerging technologies. From mastering reinforcement learning and AI in Python to delving into deep learning and machine learning, I have consistently demonstrated a commitment to expanding my skill set and staying ahead of the curve.
